Coconuts are an important tree species in the tropics; after the coconut flesh has been harvested for consumption, the shell is discarded, causing environmental problems.
It was found that coconut shells can be used to produce coconut charcoal, so these wastes can not only be recycled and fully used, but positive benefits of environmental protection can also be achieved, therefore this is an important "environment friendly" fiber.
The coconut shell fibers are heating to 1200℃ and becomes activated carbon. Mixed with polyester and other chemicals, it becomes coconut-charcoal master-batch, and using polyester as diluting vector, it is spun into coconut-charcoal filament and staple fibers.
1. Form: Coconut Charcoal Polyester Fiber
2. Color: Dark grey
3. Glossy
4. Humidity and weather resistant
5. Solid content (includes coconut-charcoal, negative ions, far infrared rays}:Total-0.8%
6. pH: N/A
7. Diameter of submicron coconut-charcoal:~200nm
8. Harmless to the environment, humans and animals: Does not contain lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB,PBDE and other harmful substances.
After being spun and made into fabric, the coconut-charcoal fabric is tested, and results show that negative ions content exceeds 650 units/cm3.far infrared radiation wave ration is over 0.9.

● As the fibers contain coconut-charcoal granules, fabrics woven from these fibers still retain the charcoal's activity. The coconut-charcoal in the fibers forms a porous surface on the fabric's surface, and can absorb odors, therefore having such functions as humidity prevention, deodorizing, anti-UV, etc
● Fabrics woven from coconut-charcoal fibers can be used to made sportswear, as wearing this kind of fabric can let the moisture expelled from the human body evaporate quickly. After washing and hanging dry, this kind of sportswear will retain its original functions.
● Coconut-charcoal fibers can be made into sports wear, under wear, bed sheets, quilt covers, socks, pillows, quilt fillers, it can be used as heat retaining fibers or garment, linings; it can absorb body odors, dissolve hazardous substances in the air, and has deodorizing effects.
